Chicago has more drawbridges than any other city, and therefor more bridgehouses as well. THroughout the history of the city drawbridges have been added, with the architecture of the time reflected in the bridgehouses built. In the late 1990's and early 2000's I did a photographic survey of the bridgehouses using a large format camera. This was the last project I did completely on film.
